This Election Day, Southold voters can say yes to preserving what makes Southold special—its beautiful vistas, agricultural lands, trails, natural shoreline, and waters. On November 8th, vote YES on Proposal 1 to extend the Community Preservation Fund and authorize projects to reverse the nitrogen pollution that threatens our health, economy and way of life. This measure does not increase taxes. It simply extends the existing tax paid by buyers of real estate. Bonding against this revenue has allowed Southold to preserve 1,420 acres of farmland and 660 acres of open space since 1999.
